There are three main slot canyons. Chambers Canyon is in a more remote part of the Roost and is quite intense; the quarter-mile slot can take about an hour and a half to complete.
Located in Arizona, the slot canyon is wonderful to wander around and the two most scenic sections are the Upper Antelope Canyon and the Lower Antelope Canyon. Known respectively as ‘The Crack’ and ‘The Corkscrew’, the soft hues of the reddish sandstone rock are bathed in sunbeams that filter down from above, casting a lovely warm glow on everything. The most famous slot canyons near Page are definitely Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, but these aren't the only slot canyons in the area. Buckskin Gulch, Waterholes Canyon, Zebra Canyon, Peek-a-Boo Canyon and the Zion Narrows (part of the Grand Circle) are quite popular among the self-guiding, canyoneering community.
